Alabama Mental Health Center employs winning staff members and we have
the awards to prove it. So far this year the following staff members
have won awards:
Arthur Richardson, Mental Health Technician,
Lee County Adult Day Services, won a RESPECT award at the 2009 Consumer
Conference at Shocco Springs. This prestigious award is nominated by
consumers who believe the nominee has shown particular respect for those
with mental illnesses.
Christina Parker, Program Director, Second
Street SCLH/Chambers County Group Home, won the Intellectual Disabilites
(Mental Retardation) Professional of the Year award at the Alabama
Council of Community Mental Health Boards Annual Meeting, May, 2009.
This statewide award is given to only one staff member per year who
exemplifies excellence in the profession.
Jean Spicer, Director, Family and Children’s
Services, won the Embrace Family Award for work with Youth at the
Alabama Family Ties Conference in May, 2009. Ms. Spicer won for her
work with youth during the previous conference years as well as her
career of service to youth and their families.
Jacqueline
Burgess,
ACT Therapist, won the Outstanding Master’s Student Award from Iota
Delta Sigma, the Auburn Chapter of the International Honor Society for
Counseling Students. This award was presented on April 17, 2009
recognizing her outstanding performance in her higher education
curriculum. |
